Titian and I had a wonderful evening having dinner and catching up with one another. But this morning, it is time to get back to work. I have been down to the kitchen to see to it that a good morning meal is prepared for Lady Louisa. She is in need of food that will help to rebuild her strength. One of the other servants has offered to bring it up once it is prepared, so I do not need to wait for it.

As I make my way towards the stairway, I notice the door to a small meeting room standing slightly ajar. Male voices reach my ear and I move closer to see who would be spending time in this rarely used corner of the palace. I discover it is the general and his son. They look as though they have been up all night talking. I am positive that they have had much to discuss. Leaving them in peace to continue their conversation, I head to my queen's chambers.
