    I'll nominate Antinous, the emperor Hadrians favorite. Harian considered him so beautiful that he declared him a god. He ordered that every major city in the empire put up a temple and a statue to him and decreed that all male gods should be portrayed as looking like Antinous. That's why we have so many statues of him all over the world.

    I even have a statue of him as a child in my homesite atrium.
