Being the Scooby Doo purist that I am, I blame Scrappy for the demise of the series. I quit watching after he got into the act. The dumbing-down of Scooby-Doo! (if cartoons can be "dumbed down" LOL) And by the way, Vort, Velma only lost her glasses in five episodes, according to this personal interview. Jinkies! She's my favorite. The only question I have is why don't her knee-socks ever fall down? I was always waiting for the gang to be running from a ghost and Velma has to stop and pull up her socks.
