enjoyed our meal and ordered more drink. While the hostess was away, a creature who introduced himself as Fraoch of Inver Colpa and offered choices we might have for spending the night.

"Thank you, sir." I said. "However, our horses will arrive soon and we'll be on our way to Tara . I have an appointment to celebrate Lughnasadh." I volunteered.

Looking toward Vaugn, I explained. "I have a mission to fulfill in Teltown." He raised an eyebrow at this news, realizing I was about to be wed for the duration of Lughnasadh.

A youth in a dirty tunic ran in at that time and came to a halt before our table. The boy glanced at me then my empty platter. He then looked at Vaugn then Vaugn's plate and stammered. "Your horses are ready."

I nodded to Vaugn and we stood to take our leave "This," I began as I handed the boy a bag of salt. "holds enough to trade for at least a fresh tunic." I pulled two acorn sized amber orbs from another pouch and presented them to the inn keeper. "I hope these will be sufficient for our meal and possibly one for the lad here." I gestured toward the thin ragged boy.

Our host was most gracious and agreed to see that the boy was fed, groomed and freshly dressed for the Lughnasadh celebration.

Satisfied, Vaugn and I took our leave to the four horses awaiting us. One each for Vaugn and I to ride, one pack-horse and the Lippizaner beauty I brought for my Teltown mate.
