You gather enough money you go to the neighborhhod you want to live in-- check out all the regions and villages on Celtia's main page. Check out a few people's properties. There are some lovely villages in Pictland, since that is your area of interest, (I have 3 homes currently and one in Dunscaith-Skye *wink*).

On the page that has the homes listed there should be a buy a property button. Then you choose the "size" and how much you want to spend. If you are citizen you can only buy one property at the lowest size. But patron can buy as many as they like till the money runs out. I have to balance spending money on groups I like and buying homes. Then there is the fun problem of decorating each home.
