A Confederacy of Dunces
It can be said that each one of us here at AncientWorlds insist on being known as a bunch of self-proclaimed, smart alecks when it comes to Ancient History; however when it comes to Popular Culture, sometimes it pays to be a Dunce!

...is something you either love or hate--there is no in between.

I've been busily "infecting" my two and four-year-old nephews with the shows (especially Pufnstuf). The older one takes off into the other room and turns on SpongeBob (a show with an oddness level that's a subject all on its own). The younger one starts clapping and dancing as soon as the theme song starts (until Witcheepoo's spider comes on the screen--he hates that danged spider).

Apparently, the show's still a big business--I found a coloring book series at the local dollar store and a bunch of activity books at Wally World.

I can deal with Pufnstuf overload. Teletubbies? Not so much. They give me nightmares.
