at AS, Byzantium and Arcanumn Arcanorum. I have done numerous web searches, but as yet have never been able to retrieve any of my original postings from AS. I do have many copies from 1998 on till AS was shut down. As has been mentioned already, you would diligently produce a post only to have it vanish into cyberspace somewhere never to be seen again. I solved this frustrating problem by producing my important posts on my word perfect, then copying and pasteing to the AS board. That way I didn't lose my precious time and thoughts to a stinking "BUG".
Could anyone tell me why we don't have New Amsterdam/New York as a group in the Americas now? My wife's ancestors in North America actually were founding residents of New Amsterdam. They lived in that area until the revolution, when as loyalist to the crown they were given the choice of immigrating to Nova Scotia or the noose. You all can guess which one they chose.
