It is not the existence of the festivals that people object to; rather the sheer number of them is reaching saturation. How many different quiz questions can there be? And even if you like festivals, there's only so much energy to go around...

If Jot could adjust the daily index to give people the option of seeing more than ten posts at once that would be one way to solve the index-clogging problem.

It's not the need for alternative networking activities (although an encyclopedia antica to provide a sort of ancient history wiki might be useful). People just want time to take a break between festivals. One every month or two is a totally different principle (and a lot less exhausting) than one every week or two.

We don't need to delete groups, I think; there are a large number of reasons why they go inactive. Tightening the new group formation requirements might be a good idea though.
