In the time I have spent here in the Kublai Khantina, since I first walked in, I have developed a great regard for you. It is my dearest wish to become your wife, and help you keep the Khantina the lovely, calm, peaceful, restful place it is. Even if you choose someone else, I feel it is important for me to give you the following....advice(?)....suggestion(?)....warning(?)....in all humility, from my heart, for your sake, and the Khantina's
There are women who, to attract the eyes and attention of men, flaunt their bodies shamelessly. They do this, not for love, but to get from the men all the jewels, fine clothes and gold that they can. When they have paupered one man, they move on to another, and so on.
Yes, these women are beautiful, fair of face and figure. Many of them have talents that could enhance the reputation of the Khantina and your honour. But think! A woman who flaunts her body for one will do so for all. What will that do to your patrons? The men will be overcome by lust, and there will be fights. The women will be overcome by jealousy, and they will fight. This could, at the least, end in destruction of the Khantina, and at the worst, in murder and mayhem.
No matter how beautiful she is, or how well she dances, sings, plays or cooks, please give my words serious thought. And, perhaps, talk it over with your Mother, whom I am sure is a wise woman, to have such a son as you.
Yes, I would that you would choose me. But above all else, including my own happiness, my great desire is your happiness and the upholding of your good name and honour. And the peace and tranquility of the Kublai Khantina.
