I just stumbled over Brad Geagley's mystery novel, Day of the False King. Now, what I know about Babylon circa 1150 BC could fill a fingernail, but I'm just curious if anyone else has read it - it's not often I've found a mystery set in ancient Meso (although, of course, the hero is Egyptian). Anyone have any thoughts? I quite enjoyed it, but I can't speak for its historical accuracy!
And I found myself recognizing certain things - the Akitu Festival traditions, etc. - because of our own scholars here, which was fun!
