It has been quiet here at the convent. The sisters are making a hard scrabble life of it. It is wilderness.
My ma' wanted to make sure I was useful, so I have been here helping. Thier lives are strange and austure. I understand the beauty of it all.
Sometimes, I am sent to help at the hostel in Tara. Now that is more lively. The little marketplace village has grown so much. And there are colorful people there and music and life.
I am not just waiting for life to happen to me. What will I be, what is my path? I am sure the people I met and the travels I complete will shape that.
I am ready to get out from underneath my Ma's thumb, but not sure what I want to go and do and be.
For now sweeping, greeting visitors and helping these godly women will suffice.
