I had to let membership of a group go to join this one, but I did it gladly. Schola Linguae Latinae is one of the largest, if not THE largest group in the Roman World and the whole of AW, but that's not the point. Point is: it's always been one of the pieces of pride in AW, but its founder and leader Tanaquil Sergius has not been able to be here on a regular basis and take care of her online Latin school. Main reason is, that she has taken up several jobs in the past year and started teaching the Classics on a grammar school again. Next to this, quite a bit happened in her life in the past year, both happy and unhappy things. Still trying to get back here more often, Tanaquil, who is a dear RL friend of mine, has finally asked me, if I could take the Schola, sort of, out of her hands and take care of it. And because I happen to be a classicist as well (when I switch on my brain, that is), I feel honored to help her out. I know, there are more people involved in leading the Schola, but some of them are really busy AW wide, or not regularly online, so I think it's a good idea to help out keeping the group going. Her divineness Heraklia really thought of this as a good idea, so Titus Pullo started putting his shoulders under a group that has more than 340 members....I'm sure to combine it with starting up ROME, since we have a small but good team working there. So, people, if needed, you can meet me on the Latin level!
