Caesar writes to the legates of the four provincial legions and to the fleet legate.
L. Caesar proc. H.Ulterioris to the Provincial legions and fleet legates, greetings!
If you are well, I am well. As you know, I am about to leave the province and return to Rome. Ulterior is calm, and Citerior seems calm as well. Still, I think our forces should be placed where they may better defend the large territory and coastline. Until new orders from the new proconsul, Gnaeus Sisenna, the fleet will keep patrolling the southern coast from its base in Malaca under the same guidelines as before.
Legion I will remain in Anticaria. Legion II will return to Mirobriga, legion III will go to Caurium and legion IV will stay in Salamantica. You will build winter fortified camps and hold them in Defense: Stronghold mode. Attention shall be given to supplying the camps without overtaxing the populations, especially in the north, where winter is harsher.
It was a pleasure living and working with you. Some of you I already knew from my stint as propraetor here. I think of you all as my comrades-in-arms and will commend you to your next governor. Be well.
