How could they understand his rage? They had no political ambitions. LSR was sure that a total victory over Mago's slaves would be more than enough to boost his popularity prior to the upcoming elections at the end of the month. To be able to pacify Citerior and completely crush Mago would certainly be enough to grant him a nice province next year. He thought he would spend his last month in Citerior in the quietness of a heated villa with a nice view to the Mare Internum...Yet, Mago managed to escape once more and the rebellion was not over yet...he could not use this victory to get more votes as it was not conclusive.
