I'm afraid I was doing XVI things on the Ides, although from the morning I woke up until the end of the night, either I thought of the Ides, or friends who know my peculiarities came up and asked about the Ides.
I was glad to see your wonderful post, including Antony's speech from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. And THAT made me think of the times I've seen this play done live, and the movies thereof.
Do you know, I'm not entirely sure that the greatest movie version is not the old Marlon Brando movie from the '50's? I remember I liked James Mason (who could not?) as Brutus, but Brando simply took the crowd and tore it apart with this version of the speech.
Does anyone else have a favorite version of this world-changing speech over Caesar's body?
