Exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps later, if there is money and people are really shouting for more ROME, there might be a movie, with some of the series' actors and some other ones. Don't forget that "I, Claudius" is still going strong....Which starts somewhere around 27 BCE.
I don't know if you guys in the US know "House Of Knowledge"? It's a company that brings out historical documentaries and movies on DVD. They issued a big DVD case "The Roman Empire" containing movies and series about ancient Rome. I, Claudius is on there as well, so...
I can't spit up the sources right now, but I heard that the set of the ROME series (in CineCitta, Rome) is going to be used in a series or movie about Pompei. So perhaps we will see that good old stage back again pretty soon!
