Bao Bei left a live-in rehabilitation facility early Wednesday, less than a day after checking in, according to several reports.

It was the second time in a week that Bao Bei entered a rehab facility and checked out before his first day was finished.

The news magazine "ACTA" initially reported that Bao Bei called a rikshaw service, walked out of the The Dancing Lion Festivity Center and left the facility early Wednesday morning.

Later, the online show Anima Vagula Blandula and the celebrity Web site kalliston.org said the 3-year-old bamboo eating star had left the Center far short of the usual 45-day stay. Kallistos said Bao Bei couldn't handle rehab and went home.

Jia Li Shen Chi, a spokeswoman for the public relations agency that handles The Dancing Lion Festivity Center, said she had no comment. She would not confirm that Bao Bei had been there or that he had left.

Bao Bei' agent referred calls to his manager, Shanti Ashoka, who did not respond to e-mails or messages left at her office and on her homesite Wednesday. Earlier, Shanti Ashoka said Bao Bei had voluntarily checked himself into an undisclosed treatment facility.

"We ask that the media respect his privacy as well as those of his family and friends at this time," Shanti Ashoka was quoted as saying. She didn't disclose why he entered rehab.

Entertainment shows and Web sites reported Tuesday that Bao Bei had gone in and out of rehab that week. Some reports identified the facility as The Kublai Khantina, in Orient, but the ACTA wasn't able to confirm those reports.

Bao Bei entered rehab again Wednesday after a meltdown day that included shaving his fur, having his wrist tattooed and clubbing with friends.

On Tuesday night, he sheared off his fur at a Paris Salon, whose owner quickly sent the AW-store the details to sell the shorn locks and other items Bao Bei left behind. He said he would seek a minimum bid of 1 million sestertii.

Since filing for separation from Lalita Ashoka in November, after two years of togetherness, Bao Bei has been photographed pantyless, wearing loose outfits and partying heavily.

Lalita Ashoka's manager Laurels Curius said there would be no comment on Bao Bei' latest rehab departure.

Lalita Ashoka's attorney earlier confirmed that Bao Bei and Lalita Ashoka would continue to share custody of 5-month-old Koala and 17-month-old Spider Monkey this month, following terms of a January custody agreement.
