Needless to say, the food was amazing, but in my haltingly bad Portuguese, I asked for an authentically Brazilian cocktail. And, man oh man, the caipirinha blew my socks off.
So now I buy cheap "51" brand cachaça and make 'em at home. Somewhere along the way I came across a Brazilian saying along the lines of "cheap cachaça makes the best caipirinha" but I've forgotten the Portuguese.
Okay, back to Rome!
