LOL - Cal and I got into quite a gram fest the other day, when I realized that she (along, I must say, with several of our European members I've spoken to) is not at all impressed with the history in HBO Rome, and I, of course, loving the series and excusing its historical flaws.

If anyone else is interested in sharing their insights and opinions about this series - worthwhile because it's the best thing, overall, I've seen since I Claudius and I don't expect to see another in my time - we here are in a unique position to discuss its faults and its virtues.

Cal, if you have time, can you re-share some of the eloquent thoughts now captured in my gram log?
