At Kallistos' prompting, I have put together a small phrasebook of Classical Greek words and phrases that could be of use to members of Hellas. Things like "hello", "yes", "no", "courtyard", etc.

I think something like this could be of great use, not only for newbies, but also for the less academically inclined among us. (My own qualifications for this are dubious and I'm sure I've made some mistakes.)

Of course, for a lot of worlds, this would be highly problematic due to their polyglot nature. Even for Hellas, my list only applies to the Classical era (and an Attic dialect), leaving out everything else from the Bronze Age to Byzantium. In extremely multicultural worlds like the Orient or highly diachronic (thanks to Aelfy for the cool new word) worlds like Germania, it might even make sense to have hood specific phrasebooks.

    Anyway, something to think about.
