My wife and I were so excited to finally sit down and watch "The Promise" as the trailer presented it as comprable to "Musa" or "CT, HD" but heed my warning, it is nothing like those masterpieces! Within the first ten minutes of watching the Stephen Chow style CGI being forced to serve what I assume was an attempt at drama, I looked to my wife and asked her if this film was intended as a comedy. Although there are moments of surreal beauty, the story is trite and quite amoral. Oh and I forgot to mention the costumes which could only have been nabbed from the Xena/Hercules warehouses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
