    The things Lilith holds in her hands are actually a ring and rod. I quote directly from "Gods, demons and symbols of ancient Mesopotamia" by J. Black and A. Green: "It is thought to depict a pair of measuring instruments, a rule and a tape, taken as symbolic of divine justice." Somehow that seems quite fitting with Lilith, doesn't it? :)
