I HAVE ONLY BEGUN TO READ THIS BOOK, BUT AM ALREADY APPLAUDING.It's about time that someone of some stature took on the 21st century politically correct revisionists who are nothing more than the latest generation of presentists transparently distorting the facts in order to fit them into the current fashion in cultural ethics.Too many of us read these unscientific contributions to the science of history and do nothing about them. Bryan Ward-Perkins takes careful aim and fires. BANG! There goes another cracked pot right into the bin with the "Tarn"ished Alexander and Black Athena,Well done,sir....good shot.
