I concur. I have been using it for several years now and it has caught every thing that's come down the pipe (so to speak). My husband is a computer consultant and that's the Anti-virus of choice for him. He installs it on every PC he works with.
Also, the latest "tip" for the PC guys is that running just one spyware program isn't enough. So, we use Adaware (by lavasoft, I think) in addition to the AVG program. It does, occasionally, catch something AVG didn't.
I have been extremely happy with these products. See, I lost everything when a nasty virus invaded my PC about 5 years ago (we had Macaffee, I think) and then again the next year (we were running Norton at that time). I do grahics a lot and am also a music teacher/lover and the things I lost were... *shudders* It's impossible to replace original, digital art creations and some of the music files were original recordings of my students. Anyway, to make a long story longer, *w* I've never lost anything with AVG, and it has caught and removed every little bugger that's tried to invade.
This is just my experience -- so I hope it works for you!
