I am mad with joy! She has said yes to my proposal of marriage. I am now one of the lucky ones that can begin to plan a future and a Family.

However, I must yet be patient. Coleen has asked me to wait until our absent NorAiPo Brothers and Sister has returned...or at least until the Spring whether they have returned or not.

I am a good man and will make a good Husband. Coleen and I have had many sincere discussions about what we should be to each other. For my part, I recognize the strong traditions of female authority and respect in her Family and that she represents this well. For her part, she understands that I too, come from proud assertive ways and that she will be ever diligent to not speak to me in a way that would cause me to lose face in front of others. These considerations are the foundation for our powerful love and bond.

There is much to be done to prepare for the wonderful day. I now bend my noble will to the tasks that will cause her happiness in our marriage.

I haven't told anyone yet. Father Donovan will be the first.

This Winter now has no hold over me. I am warm with the light in my heart.
