We got Rafael within an hours walk of the village. We had seen no unusual tracks or other sign along the way and since it was still a good three hours until dark, we felt that the lad would be fine on the final leg of his return to the village. He was instructed to tell Father Donovan of our decision and journey to the south and that we would try to send word or return within a month. Sooner, if it was important to do so.
