AD 500 ~ AD 1500 Equipment, Combat, Skills, and Tactics by: Matthew Bennett, Jim Bradbury, Kelly DeVries, Iain Dickie & Phyllis Jestice
The book is divided by foot soldiers, cavalry, siege warfare then naval warfare. In each section, they explain the weapon and tactics used. There are brilliant two page illustrations depicting how certain battles were fought and the strategies they use. I think there are something like 20 of these. Also, there are sketch and photos of the armour and weapon. Even they add some part of the Bayeux Tapestrie.
I think for a beginner, it is a very good book, but for someone very educated on the subject, it is perhaps not as important.
I put the link here in case someone want to see what it look like. I think it only come in hard cover. It also tells what other books the authors have written about the subject; some look interesting.
