Ok: An explanation AND a question for Norv and Zora

Maybe I am confused here - no, I know I am confused.

I believe that the outline of our Germania hoods is as follows: The 5 Lands (Anglo-Saxon England, Middangeard, Yggdrasil, Scandinavia, and the Varangian Way) are all GEOGRAPHIC locations of Germanic peoples. In these Lands are Realms (for example: Aldeigjuborg, Berezany, Bjarmeland, Gotland, Holmgard, Itil, Kiev, and Miklagard) which are further regional or cultural breakdowns of the various Germanic peoples. Then inside the Realms are the Cities (example: Sofijskaja storona and Torgovaja storona). Therefore, the LAND level is an all-encompassing level which is based on the Geographic location, but cultural differences are broken out as one goes down the levels. Perhaps the description written for the LAND known as the Varangian Way was too definite, rather than being more descriptive of ALL the peoples who could be found in this geographic location. I admit, I wrote that so the place wouldn't be sitting there empty, and as I have readily admitted MANY times, I am woefully ignorant of this part of the Germanic world and that is why I have readily accepted all offers of help for this Land's development. At one point, we had tried to create a plan for the development, but that fell by the wayside for various reasons.

It seems to me that you two are both extremely devoted to the development of the LAND of The Varangian Way, a fact that is heart-warming and wonderful! But therefore, we need to figure out how BOTH your thoughts and ideas can be utilized.

Now for my question: Since I am admittedly ignorant of the specifics (and thank you Norv for the informational posts - they have been helpful) why is it that Kiev can not be used for both your purposes? Can we not add a City for the specific discussion of the Viking history/influence/importance there?

What I mean is that you are both talking about the same geographical area, right? Or am I wrong here? If I am right, then I think it would be best to keep it easy for newbies (or persons doing research on the peoples of this geographic reagion) to find what they need. IF they need to know about the history of the AREA where Kiev is located, wouldn't it be better to look in one Realm, then have the Cities specified to the Peoples? Be they Viking, Kievan Rus or whatnot?

If we start duplicating the Realms I think it will be vastly confusing, but that is personal opinion based on the fact that I am already confused after reading all your posts.
