Is often completely random in his absolute theories set here.

But that is just an untested hypothosis.

What most people here are forgetting is that in between Old English and Middle English is a transition of Norman French. Otherwise we would all be speaking Danish, right?

The thing that Icel and Theodric, and Hrothgar(to an extent) are suggesting is that as long as a Langue is Germanic in origin, that means that the Langue is always Germanic. Unfortunately for English, it is not Germanic. (To prove this, try learning Spanish and German at the same time time and see which one is easier.)

The moral of the analogy is that Germanic languages tend to use [alot]* of words in sequences that are not in the traditional form of Romantic laguages. And while English is not either, there seems to be that particular, how do you say... loveableness, about the language that we all want it to be so incredibly simple. But English is more difficult than we would wish it to be, and that is why Dick Dastardly is behind the whole contemptable experience.

Although I can't see how Papa G got away with his blatent disregard of opposition around here, I still think he is a pottymouth.
