If Rome decides to develop its Goldfest celebration around the Capitoline Games, I have a suggestion for an activity. Theatrical performances in Rome usually took place during the various Games and comprised part of the ludi scaenici. Perhaps aspiring playwrights, individually or collectively, could stage a play for our entertainment. I know that Hellas has the Theater of Dionysos group; perhaps other worlds have similar groups. I am also reminded of the talents of our own Priapus Manlius, so I thought that I would share a link to his Odeum. The playbill there features three tragedies and a comedy. If you have never seen one of these productions, you are in for a treat! Does this sound like something that might work?
