About a month ago, there was a very interesting thread on the Classics-L list serv (before the outbreak of civil war there this week) on what Classical works we would give up in exchange for ones we don't have.

About a year ago, there or on another board, I got some upset with me (imagine that!). Several were speculating about what might be found in the Villa. There was all sorts of wild speculation. I got into trouble by suggesting that it was just as likely that all they'd find was the ancient equivalent of "The Bridges of Madison County."
