It didn't take long for the announcement to run through the village.
People rushed hither and fro, gathering goods to be loaded for trade. It was invigorating to witness their joy. They had worked so hard these past few months. I had high hopes of this trip bringing them great reward for their efforts.
I had chosen to take with me KaMaBuA, Moontree, Zaira and a few who had had a big hand in production and of course drivers for the laden carts. All were worthy warriors.
Once again Brennix had voiced his disapproval that I was not taking any of his guards but he also knew arguing the point was useless when I advised him, "I leave you to watch over and protect the Tribe's most precious commodity, Brennix. My daughter."
At last the carts were filled. It was time for a small celebration and a good nights rest before my band and I left in the morning.
