I'm very excited to have made a home in the new city of Waset.

If you go there, you will find the answer to this question. It is hidden somewhere in one sentence of one of the linked articles. The question is:
One great scholar sought information on the source of the River Nile, but found only one person among the Egyptians, Libyans, or Greeks who claimed to know anything about it. The scholar doubted his story, which went, in part, like this
"Between Syene, a city of the Thebais, and Elephantine, there are" (he said) "two hills with sharp conical tops; the name of the one is Crophi, of the other, Mophi. Midway between them are the fountains of the Nile, fountains which it is impossible to fathom. Half the water runs northward into Egypt, half to the south towards Ethiopia."
The scholar does not give the name of this informer, but does describe him.
1. What was the informer's job?
2. What Goddess did he serve?
3. From what Egyptian city did he hail?
Good luck.
