I spent a summer in my generally misspent youth, at a summer theater studying with a true Shakespearean actor. He was convinced, and thereby convinced us, that no actor was any good at all if he could not convey the emotions via the eyes and voice. The costume, sets and even the beauty of language were secondary to the inflection of voice and the person behind the eyes.

I have thought of that so often when attempting to communicate using the commputer...no eyes to guided us into the other's person's emotions, no voice to weigh the strength, timber and proposed meanings of the words spoken.

These two women are especially gifted and so well suited to these roles for those very reasons....vioce and use of the eyes, make them the spectaculae actresses they are.

BTW, that summer I played the role of Ophelia, no doubt IC might call that type casting...:)
