I took four years of Latin in high school. Modern languages were offered, but I liked Latin.

I wanted to go to college and Mjor in Latin and Minor in English. I got full scholarships for all four colleges to which I applied. My Father, who now has passed, said at that time that I could not go to college. He said that I would be killed if I went away! I was told to get married and have children, but stay close to home. I unfortunately listened to him.

Now I look forward to learning more of the language here and conversing with others.
