Though Iīm not sure of the evidence for Ahhotep to have been a war leader. Maybe her activities limited themselves to being influential behind the screen? A stele at Karnak talks about her:
She is the one who has accomplished the rites and cared for Egypt; she has looked after Egyptīs troops; and she has guarded them; she has brought back the fugitives and collected the deserters; she has pacified Upper Egypt and expelled her rebels
This sounds very impressive but can we be certain itīs true? We know that the habit was to glorify the kings (and in some cases the queens too) so how to interprete this? Sure she was given three 'Golden Fly' awards which was normally given for excellence in military service. Yes, but military service can be of different kinds. Well, I donīt know but I tend to think that she didnīt go out into war but was influential from her secure place in the palace :)
