Time has past since our arrival at New Cornwall. Colleen and I had wed, her adopting my two children. Both children are happy with the arrangement and it brings me joy to see her as a part of our family.
Soon after the marriage, Robert Loche knocked on my door.
"There is a new voyage," Robert says. "To expore the other islands, claim more land for Britian."
"I am not British," I remind him.
"Exactly why we need you, Joseph," Robert tells me. "We expect the other islands to be colonized by now, and your presence will help us bring peace to these new-found neighbors, hopefully work with them. We know you have ties to the North." I nod in reply as he continues. "We are hoping that you can help us chart out land to the south and west as well. We have decided there must be 4 islands close by, and we would like Britian to make contact to them all."
Colleen and I discuss it that night, and by morning it is settled.
I will go.
