that it's good to know that other people are being bothered by this thing. Misery loves company, and all that. *G*
I do know how it starts now. I don't have my computer set to automatically download anything. I want to see what's going in here. A couple of days ago, my computer offered me a windows update called something like Windows Authenticity Verification Tool (I should have written it down, but it's very obvious). I let it go on and load on my computer so it would quit bothering at me, since mine was built by a local company, and I figured I could let them deal with it. But my XP is apparently legal.
My husband seems to have learned to live with the balloon nagging at him. At least he's quit complaining to me about it. I imagine he'd have to find his paperwork on the computer to call Dell, and since it's been so long, it's probably a lost cause.
