Very interesting theory about the involvement of Eusebius in all this. Granted, I don't think of this purge any worst than others in Roman history. I think that many are horrified since a lot of relatives are involved. But purges or legal proscriptions of enemies appear in Roman history starting in the late Republic with Sulla. As everyone knows, the young Octivian proscripted along with Mark Antony and Lepidus a great number of people, So, why is it that Constantius is worst.
