I agree that historically that these women, Atai and Servillia do not necessarily line up with out perceptions, but then little is written about either woman, no?
It is not a stretch too far, so far, to believe that either woman used the tools at hand, pardon the expression, to gain what they wanted.the men of the times certainly did, and I womnder why we all seem so unforgiving, unnerved or morally upset when a fictional depiction of past events puts this forward: that women sought power too and did what could be done to get it...in the context (there is that word again) of thir times.
