The little Sidhe smiled at the pretty tender with the ready smile. “Thank you very much!”
She knew she would be well treated in Celtia, for her own people were far more hospitable
than those bouncer types at that other place. And to say nothing of that fellow who’d dared
to call her a mutt. Well, she’d taught him a lesson he’d not soon forget…his bare posterior
was probably crawling back up the Appian Way at this very moment. She listened carefully to
Kathryne’s descriptions of these Romans and followed her gaze to where a bunch of them were
collected. Strange creatures indeed, she thought with a giggle.
Now that the music had started up, she settled in with her milk and her piece of bread
covered in sweet preserves. Swinging her feet in time to the beat, she kept a lookout for
her missing friend.
