"War, war, war!" Venus sighed. "Is that all men think about?"
Jupiter smiled noncommittally but Mars snorted.
"We have plenty of other things to think about. We just like to think about war. And talk about it. And watch it. And play it. It's the best game going."
Mars winked at the enticing red head. Venus pointedly ignored the wench.
"Every party this season has been marred by you and your incessant talk about the big game!" Venus absent-mindedly fed a bar nut to a brightly colored bird that landed on the arm of her chair. "I swear, you totally ruined Saturnalia last year by insisting on turning on the screen to watch the Trojans again and right in the middle of dinner!"
Mars and Jupiter exchanged speaking looks.
"What would YOU have wanted to watch during dinner, Vennie?" Mars asked.
"Nothing! I'd like to exchange civilized conversation. Maybe have a bit of poetry recitation. Some music.
Mars shrugged. "Music's all right. I like lots of brass and percussion. "It's hard to get a really good marching band into a dining hall though."
Venus rolled her eyes. "I'm going to explore the swimming pool."
"Have fun, princess," Jupiter called as he turned back to the engaging redhead.
"Try not to be too annoying, Vennie!" Mars grinned at the departing figure of his sister.
She turned her head to stare at her brother through narrowed eyes. With a snap of her fingers she stripped naked and smiled. He hated it when she did that.
