It's exciting to hear such an enthusiastic and detailed summary of a new work on "our" period - if not precisely in the time of Caesar, totally influenced thereby. I've just put it on my wish list!
It's fascinating but true, that when I did my research for my web site on Augustus, I realized that there are far fewer really good analyses of Augustus and his life, than of Caesar. Which is too bad, because he's the other half of Caesar's penny.
