“Cornerstone Declaration of the NorAiPo People”
Written by Father Patrick Donovan on behalf of the NorAiPo People.
We the “NorAiPo”, a new people of the land we call North Island, do on this day declare Our establishment as a Sovereign People. Through collective deliberation and sincere discussion, in the Spirit of Truth, Freedom and Unity, We set forth, in this truthful document, Our desires for the kind of society We will be.
Though there are many subtle differences in Our individual viewpoints, We have succeeded in coming to agreement and voting on the most important issues challenging Our formation into a valid and unified society of fair law and equal justice for ALL.
We have succeeded in determining and defining what some of the most important issues are, in this organization of Us as a Sovereign People of these lands We have colonized and made Home. No one has contested Our being here.
We the NorAiPo have decided that the relationship between Our Leadership and the main body of Ourselves, shall be carefully defined, understood, sanctioned and established as follows:
Our Leaders will be the “Best of the Best” of Us and this will be ascertained and proven, as much as is possible, through the NorAiPo criteria of the following qualifications of a leader.
(1) A NorAiPo Leader is OF the People.
(2) A NorAiPo Leader is FOR the People.
(3) A NorAiPo Leader is made so BY the People.
(4) A NorAiPo Leader is determined to be a living reflection of the Peoples highest ethical and moral standards as has been instructed by the Golden Rule, the teachings of JESUS wherever they be found or revealed, and all Prophets, Holy Men and Servants of the Creator who have demonstrated deep harmony with the Golden Rule and the teachings of JESUS in the name of the Holy Spirit of Truth.
(5) A NorAiPo Leader is such in the names of the Creator and Creation.
(6) A NorAiPo Leader represents the People as the High Counselor and will never take away, or seek to take away, the responsibility of the People to determine the shape and content of their lives in their society in all of its aspects.
(7) A NorAiPo Leader, having presented His or Her best advice and counsel to the People will submit to the will of the People with the understanding that this leader has fulfilled His or Her obligation to the People.
We the NorAiPo People will become the best possible expression of social self determination through individual diligence and responsibility. We each will do Our part to make Our new society flourish, prosper and succeed.
We will guard against greed, laziness and apathy by asserting Our wills over these shortcomings, whenever they are found and identified as such in ourselves and in those around us.
We will learn to care about each other and help each other in every possible way. We will love Our neighbor as we love Ourselves. This practice puts us in harmony and obeisance with the highest morality available to us on Our World. Our decisions and acts of living the Golden Rule, and the Teachings of Jesus, will bring us closer to the heart and will of Creator and give Us the strengths to be a lasting people of good example in Our World.
We will be watchful for trouble in Our midst and be prepared to correct error in a way that would make Our Creator happy with Us. Decisions and acts of error, which bring unnecessary hardship and harm to persons, Our society, or Our lands and the nature of any of the lands and seas of Mother Earth, will not be tolerated and will be corrected.
We will be courageous in the defense of Our society and courteous and loving to other societies that We come in contact with. We will always offer Peace and mutually beneficial commerce, on equitable and fair terms, to all concerned.
We will become masterful warriors who try to never strike the first blow or offer fight. But, at the same time, be formidable opponents to all aggressors, or those that bring harm and error among us. We will be tolerant, even appreciative, of differences that do not threaten to undermine the balance and welfare of Our Society. If we cannot avoid situations where We have to kill to survive, then We will kill quickly and cleanly as possible. We are not a cruel people and understand that life and death situations for Us and Our Society may not always be avoided.
Other ways of life are to be respected and seen as possible sources for the additional growth and prosperity of Our Society. Opportunities for study of other ways of life will be developed. We will offer the same opportunities for the study of Our way of life as well.
For the sake of Humanity Our Society must not only survive and endure, but evolve. While maintaining balance, harmony and mutual benefit with Our World and all Our Mother Earth, Our Society must evolve and contribute to the evolution of others, wherever such contributions will be peacefully accepted.
We, The NorAiPo People, will become wise in recognizing and knowing, what the best changes will be for Our Evolving Society. If We make mistakes, We will endeavor to correct the errors and get back on the right path made of Our balanced and harmonious multiple individual paths.
We, The NorAiPo People, know that We are in this great effort together. We will stay united in this, the building of Our Great Society, for the benefit of Us All.
This is the “Corner Stone Declaration” of the NorAiPo People. Upon this commitment, We will build the laws and ethics of Our Just, Equitable and Inspiring Society. May God bless Our effort.
Signed on this historic day of November 7th, 1643, by the “First Leader” of the NorAiPo People and all the NorAiPo People:
