Around a year ago I installed Quicktime from a prompt somewhere on the net. There are alot of Quicktime movies you can only view if you have it installed, figured sure why not? It took over my whole system's media files, I could no longer view anything in flash, it even corrupted old Windows media files. I HATE IT. Anyway, I uninstalled it. A month later it reappearred as I was browsing the net and came across another quicktime movie. Apparantly it was lurking the whole time. A friend helped me to remove it from my registry so it would not keep rewriting itself and re-installing.
I was in the clear...
Then two months ago husband bought me an IPOD and installed it for me (without my say so, damn man) and installed quicktime with it! I uninstalled it immediately, but every single time I go to Rome worldpage it asks me to reinstall it (actually my scottie the watchdog warns me it is trying to install itself into my start up again, i say no..) Please help, it's driving me nuts! How do I remove it from my registry so it wont happen again?
Quicktime sucks.
