Well, it's good to have such a well-read member join us. It sounds like your main interest in the group is in the flooding itself, rather than any stress it may have placed on the peoples involved (or their subsequent roleplay). I would however, rather see you get involved as much as possible. I have to differ with you in my opinion of the catastrophism of the event. I find the recent studies of the Coriolis Effect, about which I posted here, to be very convincing about whether the event was catastrophic or not. Although Mark Siddall was the main scientist mentioned in the article, it also said that there were a "group" of researchers who also found that there was no evidence of coriolis effect in the currents of the water at the time. I know the article in the journal "Nature" was after 2000, but most of my reading was printed before then, so you may be influenced by articles I haven't seen. Perhaps you could write some posts about them. Since you are so obviously well-read, have you found any pictures or descriptions of what the boats may have been like back then? I know, it's very hard to find remnants of boats, because wood and rope decompose so freely, but I have high hopes because of the lack of oxygen in the depths of the lake. The only boats I've heard of so far are Greek and Roman.
