    Kallistos, thank you for that great post, and the links. I had no idea we had anything going back so close to the time of Homer!

    Does anyone know if, online, there's an example of what Homer's Iliad sounds like in classical Greek? I've always read that it was so critical to actually HEAR the Greek and the repeated phrases and descriptors, but I've never had a chance to hear what Homer sounded like.
