Your task - simple! Run from the plain of Marathon to the Acropolis in Athens.
What a lovely day for racing! (No, really, it is!) As you leave Marathon, the trail comes to a swampy area... Whew! What died? Uh oh. Looks like you've run into the territory of the Hydra. Too bizarre for words, the Hydra has nine heads and a (literally) killer breath. That's the good news. The bad news is, one of the nine heads is immortal.
If you make it past the Hydra, I hope you're not too queasy to negotiate the Labyrinth, or you may get lost forever until we find you! You have to run to the center of the Labyrinth and collect a little bronze statue of Zeus. I hope you can do this and find your way out of the maze before having a run-in with the Minotaur.
Just when you thought you were safe again, you are confronted by a Cyclops. Furious with you for disturbing his flock, he drags you into his cave, seals the entrance, and threatens to eat you raw. What will you do? Hey, Nobody said this was going to be an easy journey...
Finally, if you manage to defeat the Cyclops, you still have to face one last obstacle. You need to avoid the petrifying gaze of the Medusa, who is blocking your way to Athens. How are you going to get past it? Remember, you have a race to win and no time to get stoned!
Sunday March 12 at 12:00 AW time. Winners will be announced at the Macedonian Bar & Grill that night. Happy racing! |
