    needs to take care of a nation's antiquities always appeared to me to be rather similar to the idea that one's inheritance should be turned over to someone else, lest one actually enjoy it on one's own... a tag identifying the finder of an antiquity in the display at its native nation always seemed to me to be more than adequate as recognition, since the information gained by the finding of an antiquity is always the most valuable of yields for such work. Perhaps a process of joint financing for archeological digs and co-operative analysis of new finds would stop the looting.
