You are reaching the end of your first official investigation. The sun will be rising soon, and you know you must make a decision about the identity of the murderer. You hope that you will choose correctly, for your reputation is at stake. If you accuse the wrong person, it could be disastrous for your career. The threat of demotion, with its concomitant loss of income, looms over your head; you have a sinking feeling you might never be able to afford spiced pork for dinner again! You wish the Honorable Judge Sung Tzu was here to advise you, but alas, he is far away – and probably spent the night sleeping in nice comfortable chambers!
You tell the merchant to return to the room with the rest of the suspects. He nods and does so, leaving you alone in the garden with your thoughts.
You pace around the edge of the carp pool, taking care to avoid the dead fish that are lying around. You still haven’t quite figured out what they are doing there. Could it have something to do with the watery mess that Xu Mei found in the garden this morning? If only she hadn’t told the maids to clean up earlier – you might have learned something critical! Ah well, no sense worrying about that now.
You recall all of the clues that you have uncovered so far. Things are beginning to make sense to you. Now, if you only had some concrete proof! As you continue your pacing around the pool, the soldier who fetched your dinner earlier comes hurrying in…
What happens next?
To find out, travel to these famous tea plantations. The leaves that are grown here are some of the most highly prized in the world, and the roots of this tea go back thousands of years. Grown in the hills surrounding a beautiful lake, these special leaves are pan fried as part of the production process.
Find where this tea is grown and you will find your final clue!
